Campaign Rules

Everything you need to know about how campaigns work, from joining to getting paid.

Last updated: April 2026

Quick summary

24h to join, 72h to perform

Enrollment is open for 24 hours. After joining, your video is tracked for 72 hours.

30 min to upload

Post your Short and submit the link within 30 minutes of joining.

1,000+ views to qualify

Your video needs at least 1,000 total views by campaign end.

3%+ like ratio

Real engagement required — videos must maintain a 3% or higher like-to-view ratio.

Top 3 win the pool

The top 3 creators by views split the prize pool. 4th place and below earn $0 from PrizePost.

Performance cap

Each winner's prize is capped at views × $3/1,000. Drive real views or the cap will limit your payout.

1. Campaign timeline

  • Enrollment window: 24 hours from campaign launch. Creators can browse and join during this period.
  • Upload deadline: Once you join, you have 30 minutes to post your YouTube Short and submit the link. Late submissions may be rejected.
  • Performance window: 72 hours from when the campaign starts. All views your video accumulates during this window count toward your payout.
  • Grace period: A 6-hour buffer after the performance window closes before final validation runs. Views during this period still count.
  • Total duration: 24h enrollment + 72h performance = 96 hours per campaign.

2. Who can join

  • You must have a connected YouTube channel with at least 1,000 subscribers and 25 published Shorts.
  • Campaigns are matched by niche — you only see campaigns that match your selected niches.
  • Each campaign accepts up to 10 creators. Once full, no more creators can join.
  • You can only join a campaign once. You cannot re-join after leaving or being removed.
  • Suspended accounts cannot join campaigns. Suspensions last 30 days and are triggered by 3 consecutive failed campaigns.

3. Video requirements

  • Must be a YouTube Short (under 60 seconds, vertical format).
  • The URL must contain /shorts/ — regular YouTube videos are not accepted.
  • The video must be posted publicly on YouTube before submitting the link.
  • You must follow the content brief provided (hooks, script, CTA, do's and don'ts).
  • The video should be freshly created for this campaign — recycled or pre-existing content is not allowed.

4. Qualification thresholds

To qualify for a payout, your video must meet both of these criteria by the time the performance window closes:

1,000+ total views

All views on your Short count — organic, algorithmic, shared. There is no distinction between view sources. This threshold ensures your content reached a meaningful audience.

3%+ like-to-view ratio

Your video's likes divided by views must be at least 3%. The 2026 average for authentic YouTube Shorts is 3–6%. This threshold protects against bot traffic and low-quality engagement.

Videos that meet only one threshold (e.g., high views but low likes) do not qualify.

5. Anti-fraud measures

  • View-to-subscriber ratio: Videos with a view-to-subscriber ratio exceeding 20x are automatically flagged for manual review. This catches artificial view inflation.
  • Manual flagging: Brands or admins can flag suspicious videos. Flagged videos are reviewed before payout is approved.
  • Consecutive failures: Creators who fail to qualify in 3 consecutive campaigns are automatically suspended for 30 days.
  • Attempting to manipulate views, likes, or engagement through bots, paid services, or other artificial means will result in immediate removal and forfeiture of earnings.

6. How payouts work

Winner takes most — read this carefully.

PrizePost campaigns are contests. The top 3 creators by views split the prize pool. 4th place and below earn $0 from PrizePost— even if they qualify. Even placing top 3 doesn't guarantee a meaningful payout: each winner's prize is capped by their actual views.

The mechanics

  • Prize pool: 90% of the brand's budget. The other 10% is the non-refundable platform fee.
  • Tier split (depends on # of qualifiers): 1 qualifier → 100% to the winner. 2 qualifiers → 75% / 25%. 3 or more qualifiers → 50% / 30% / 20% to 1st / 2nd / 3rd.
  • Performance cap: Each winner's actual prize is the smaller of (a) their tier share of the pool, or (b) their views × $3 / 1,000. This protects brands from paying $50 for 1,000 views, and rewards real performers proportionally.
  • 4th place and below: Earn $0 from PrizePost. They keep their YouTube views, ad revenue, and the finished video — but no PrizePost cash.
  • Brand refund: Anything not paid to winners (because the performance cap kicked in, or fewer than 3 creators qualified) is refunded to the brand's wallet.
  • No qualifying videos: If no creator hits both thresholds (1,000+ views, 3%+ likes), the entire budget — including the platform fee — is refunded to the brand.

Example — $200 campaign, 5 creators qualify

  • Prize pool: $180 (90% of budget). Platform fee: $20.
  • 1st place: 25,000 views → tier share $90, performance cap $75 → wins $75.
  • 2nd place: 12,000 views → tier share $54, performance cap $36 → wins $36.
  • 3rd place: 4,000 views → tier share $36, performance cap $12 → wins $12.
  • 4th and 5th place: $0 from PrizePost.
  • Refund to brand wallet: $180 − ($75 + $36 + $12) = $57.

7. Payment processing

  • Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. You must have a connected Stripe account to receive earnings.
  • Minimum transfer threshold: $5.00. Earnings below this amount accumulate until the threshold is met.
  • Payouts under $10 with a creator score of 7.0+ are auto-approved. Larger amounts or lower scores require admin review.
  • Payouts are processed after the campaign's performance window closes and validation completes.

8. Rules for brands

  • Minimum budget: $50 per campaign. Maximum: $10,000.
  • Budget split: 90% becomes the prize pool for the contest. 10% is the platform fee (non-refundable except when zero creators qualify).
  • Cancellation: You can cancel for a full refund before any creator joins. Once a creator has joined, cancellation refunds are based on unspent budget.
  • Brief lock: The content brief is locked once the first creator joins.
  • Pay only for performance: Each winner's prize is capped at views × $3/1,000. Anything not paid out — because the cap kicked in, or fewer than 3 creators qualified — is refunded to your wallet.
  • Zero qualifiers = full refund: If no creator hits both qualification thresholds, the platform fee is refunded too.

9. Disputes & removal

  • Brands can flag videos they believe violate the brief or contain fraudulent engagement.
  • Flagged videos are reviewed by the PrizePost team before payout decisions.
  • Creators can be removed from a campaign if their video violates content guidelines or the brief.
  • Removed creators do not receive a payout for that campaign.
  • All decisions by the PrizePost team are final.

Zero-risk for brands

You only pay for validated views. Unspent budget is refunded automatically.
